How to Hide & Show Hidden Files in CX File Explorer?
The show hidden files feature in Cx File Explorer is particularly handy when you have to give your phone to someone, but you have your family photos (or anything you don’t want others to see) in it. This feature helps you keep your desired files out of others’ sight, even if they take your phone.
If you often get into this irritating situation, now is the time to have peace of mind and no fear of others peeking at your private data. The method remains the same for Android, Meta Oculus, Computers and for earlier versions. Let’s now get the method in the know!
Steps to Hide and Show Hidden Files in Cx File Explorer
First, go to Cx File Explorer’s settings, then scroll down until you see the “Hide/Unhide” option under the Show advanced menus.

Turn it on by marking the sqaure beside the option.
Once enabled, locate your file you want to hide, tap and hold it, then tap the Rename icon laid in the lower part of the screen (insert image).
When renaming the file, put a dot at the start of the file’s name and tap OK.

It then must disappear from the list.
Let’s now unhide it.
To unhide, come to the folder again where your file used to be lying, now tap the 3 horizontal lines in the top right, then check the box that says Show hidden files.
In the next second, your file will be visible in the list but will be grayed, yet openable. Rename it again and remove that dot, it’ll then be as it was before—totally unhidden.
